Learning Log 7
This performance had taught me the need of teamwork. We had to met up to buy the costumes, props and also to rehearse. I am glad that the performance went smoothly despite the small errors made. During the performance, i felt nervous and tense because our performance will be recorded and it is 70% of our literature End of Year Examinations. Moreover, there were audience watching out performance. My group did very well, as they memorised their lines and help to get the costumes and props ready. From what i see, other groups did did well especially Commitment group 1, with the theme bollywood. If i can improve on my group's performance, iwould want the group to be more organised, like when and which day will we be getting our costumes and props ready and which day will we rehearse. I would recommend my juniors to have this performance in future as this performance will help them bond with their classmates and also be a responsible person.

Learning Log 6
I have learnt that literary devices such as simile, paradox, tone, alliteration and many more. I found out that literary devices makes the poem or story more interesting to read. For example, as easy as A.B.C, it tells us that it is very easy as A.B.C is very simple. It may be hard to comment on the phrase but i think i will be alright after doing many more of it. I will try to use these devices in my essay as it will make it more interesting to read. I will try to memorise all the similesi have learnt although i find it difficult.

Learning Log 5
I have learnt that to do an unseen poem, we have to be focus, and read the poem slowly because a pharase written in the exact same manner can be said in many different ways and mean different things. The steps on how approach an unseen text are. 1. Understand the overall meaning of the text which is simply understanding the text. 2. Do a close reading, question yourself why the writer choose these literary devices and also what effect do these devices create on the text or have on the reader. 3. Provide a philosophical insight and an informed, personal reponse, like what is the message the text is trying to convey to the reader, how do you feel after reading the text and what issues about the world and human nature does the text highlight.

Learning Log 4
Through the performance, i have learnt that acting as a witch is not a simple task. Although it is only a short performance, it needs alot of practices and of course more than one. We have to practice to get the timing right. I felt that most of the groups did a great job. Each of them had their own props, like hats, trashbags, etc. For my performance with Wei Tieng and Dorcas, i think we did alright. We used quite a number of props like hats, trashbags, a fake ear of an elf and spectacles with a long nose on it. However we did not have interesting powerpoint slides and the sounds of cats and frogs the other groups had. This made our performance less interesting compared to the other groups. An area for improvements for my group would be that we have powerpoints slide and some other creative ideas to make our performance even better.

Learning Log 3
We were grouped in groups of 3 by the 'Number Selector'. We had to do a presentation of the three witches of Act 1 Scene 1. I think that it would be hard presenting because we have to either use a high pitch voice or a low pitch voice. For the lessons on Act 1 Scene 2, i found it hard to understand it even after the lesson had ended. However i finally understood it after reading it a few times. The could not understand the text without reading the modern text, which helped me understand the text better. For the group discussion on comic grid, i had two discussion with two different groups. I think that we should stick to the original group but there were students which did not do their homework, therefore we were assigned to a new group. During the discussion, we exchanged papers to see what each of us wrote at the grid.

Learning Log 2
From our lessons last few weeks, we had to read out Act 1 Scene 1, the conversation of the the three witches. The teacher called out a few students to read it out in front of the class. We had to read it with a high or low pitch voice. Although some students did not managed to read it with the right pitch, they still tried their best to read it.
During the discussion on superstitious, it was quite fun to learn more about superstitious. Although i did not believe in most of the superstitious, it still have an impact on me.
During the presentation, i heard a lot of superstitious. Some i heard of it before, and some i did not. Some of the examples of superstitious are, if you break a mirror, you will have bad luck for seven years and if a bird flies into your house a death will occur.

Learning Log 1
I have learned how to write a cinquain. It is a five lined poem as the word 'cinq' derived from a French word which means five. A cinquain consists of a title, description, action, feeling and lastly a reflection of the title.
The lessons about cinquain were fun and enjoyable as we had group work. We had to write a cinquain together as a group. This helps me to interact better with my group mates. We also need to be committed so that we will not be at a loss.
As for the suggestions, i would prefer that there would be games for us learn more about literature and also, do have more group works as it helps us on our learning as it makes us more attentive in class.
